I was way more into this book than I thought I would be. Nora went from a meh character to someone I truly adored at the end. I also love the idea of getting to experience the life you would have had with one different decision and exploring the implications of that decision.

I LOVE books that make you think and this is a book that gives you lots of thoughts! I very much enjoyed seeing Nora learn and grow. I could not put this book down!

The Midnight Library had so much potential. Don’t get me wrong, there is a message in the story that some people to need to hear. As someone who has recently started to push themselves to experience the world around them more, you would think this book swooped in at the right time to give me more encouragement. However, what I read was incredibly surface level, leaving me disappointed.

Another downfall for me is the predictable plot. By page 40, I had two theories about how it would end, and they were both right. This along with plenty of lines that made me cringe are the reasons that leave The Midnight Library at 2.5 stars for me.

I’m happy that this story has impacted so many people, but it just wasn’t for me.
