I really liked that Russell is fat - give us more fat heroes!! And I liked Ari a lot, and I enjoyed how naturally the book discussed the seriousness of depression and mental illness without dimming the light and cozy vibes of the romance. I also enjoyed the way that Judaism is linked to and informs the lives of the protagonists. I also LOVED the twist at the end- I absolutely did not see it coming and it made me cackle! Also, Seth and Torrance's second chance romance b-plot was a very cute addition.
Overall this book was just....nice! I don't have big problems with it but it didn't spark any big feelings/reactions in me either. Definitely an enjoyable read!

Despite the discussion of depression and mental health, there are NO mentions of suicide, suicidal ideation, or self-harm.bookworm247's review against another edition

The heroine was too whiney for me.
The one thing I can't get over: the characters take a whale-watching cruise on Lake Washington. The whales in Seattle live in Puget Sound (salt water) not Lake Washington (fresh water) that separates Seattle from the Eastside suburbs.
