This book makes you so mad, sad and happy at the same time. There was moments where I was on the verge of throwing the book across the room because I was so mad at the way this turned out but now when I’ve read it all I’m so happy. 

I hated Ryle so much so at one point I lost all my empathy for him. I could just read the diary entries as it’s own book because I loved Atlas so much

Although the book is kinda predictable like the

abusive husband

-trope but i liked it anyway. 
I’m so excited to read “It Starts With Us”. 
This book is a must read.

The book is so heart-wrenching in the most perfect way possible, Lily is an amazing character who truly shows the true means of abuse. It's not always as easy as it is. Amazing book.

I completely love this book. It emotionally destroyed me and made me feel so many complex things.  Spectacularly written and well handled difficult but important topics.

Although I have never been through an experience even closely related to what was explored in the book, this book made me feel like I had, which was a totally heart-wrenching experience. I couldn't put it down but felt so heartbroken and attached to it at the same time. It was a really powerful story.

There is one man who considers himself 'gay' who is briefly in the story. If you are sensitive to abuse between parents or even families (domestic abuse) then you may not want to read this book. It is the main theme although it is very very inspiring and shows how people can work through this! So sad! Prepare to cry!!! 😭

tapi ya gue suka sama gaya penulisannya. apalagi pas bagian hal2 kecil yg kesannya ga penting kaya kursi, nomer 29, hiasan kulkas, terus berenan yaaa gitu dehhh ah suka!! enjoyable!!

Really a beautifully written book, but if you are sensitive to violence particular domestic abuse just be warned. I would still suggest this book, because it gave an interesting and helpful perspective to domestic abuse.
