I didn't finish this book, so it may redeem itself in later chapters. The setup was intriguing, but ultimately I couldn't get over the writing style. There were lots of sweeping and dramatic expository sections, generally explaining philosophically how an individual viewed the world that just kept losing me.

very interesting topics to think about in regards of the future of our society. if you enjoy science-fiction without a lot of action and more of philosophical theories, you‘ll like this one. reading chinese novels is always intriguing and a nice change in terms of writing and thought processes.
