Lyric's Accidental Mate kept me glued to my ereader. I liked the characters, especially Lyric. She is her own woman, she's gone to college, trailed to fight, and yet let her big brother take care of her to 24 years of age. Rowen is smart, ex-special ops, and dreamy. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I like Elle's writing style, and the plot holds your interest, as well as steaming your glasses. 5 big old hairy thumbs up!

Lyric's Accidental Mate by Elle Boon is the first book in her Iron Wolves MC series. I've read her books in her Delta Series and loved them. Besides who doesn't like Hot ex-military men, shifting men to wolves? This was truly a wonderful read and I wholeheartedly give this book 4.8 only because it ended at about 85% then had 3 little snippets to the next books in the series.

Rowan Shade knows that he can't just leave Lyric to the approaching men but little does he know that he'd be turned into one. Lyric Carmichael does what she can to make do and overrides the bite from the other wolf. She makes sure when Rowan does turn, Iron Wolves pack will be the one he's loyal too.
But Rowan being ex-military he knows how to protect someone and uses his vast knowledge to save the pack when someone within betrays them sending the same men who attacked Lyric who's now his mate.

Lyric Carmichael is out on the town with her friends so when she's attacked by a wolf and shoved outside. While she's thankful to Rowan for his help in rescuing her how is she going to tell Kellen her Alpha that she had to turn Rowan into one? Even her Alpha will agree that his security knowledge will come in handy when they are attacked.

I really didn't expect everything that the author, Elle Boon, managed to deliver in this book. It is HOT, fast paced, well written, AMAZING and has for more!
I'm ready for the next one.

Great story

I really enjoyed this read. It's short and fun and felt complete. It didn't feel rushed and flowed well. I loved the characters and felt that it set up for the next one very nicely. It got me hooked on those characters and I can't wait to read their story. The story is explicit and very well done.

When wolf shifter Lyric, a member of the Iron Wolves Motorcycle Club, is attacked outside a club, ex-special forces soldier Rowan comes to her rescue. Unfortunately, he gets bitten, and Lyric takes him home to talk him through the changes that come with becoming a werewolf. They have feelings for each other, because they're fated mates, but their new relationship will have to survive a werewolf war to see their happy ever after.

I like werewolf romances, but don't typically read motorcycle club books, so this is half in my wheelhouse. For a book that's first in a series, it's very complicated, and introduces a lot of characters, which gets confusing. I think the author would have been better off simplifying the first book, and adding more characters as she went along. Because of this, some of the characters seem like stereotypes, rather than fully fleshed out characters. The ideas are good, and the writing is quite good, but the book itself is just ok.

A quick and steamy read! I loved the characters, the world Elle Boon is building and the action; between the sheets and not between the sheets! I can’t wait to read more!

This is shaping up to be a great new series!!!

We find Lyric out with her friend and when they get separated she gets cornered by 4 rogue wolves in an alley. Rowan, a human, comes to her aid and ends up the worse for wear. Having no choice in saving him but to turn him, Lyric takes Rowan back to his seriously secured home.

Her Alpha Kellen and his second, her brother, Xan are way overprotective and she and her friend Syn know how to take care of themselves but she can't help but applaud Rowan's bravery, especially not knowing that he was going up against wolves.

Rowan was a special forces soldier and now runs a security business. He's not sure what Lyric was doing biting him where the other guy had bitten him but he can't deny she's a hole lot better looking!!! Will he be quite so ecstatic when he finds out that he is now a shifter?

This was a great start to the series and I love alpha males being brought to their knees by sassy females!!! I can't wait for Syn's book or Kellans. Snappy dialogue, empathetic characters and fast paced story makes this a great read!!!

I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

A great read from another new to me author. Lyric's Accidental Mate had a former military man who is protective and oh so alpha and a badass heroine who also happens to be a werewolf. I happen to see Elle Boon on a live chat on one of my many new book groups on Facebook and I knew I had to check out one of her books.

The story starts out with Lyric out with her friends and is attacked. In comes Rowan to defend her and trying to fight off 4 strong werewolves, does a pretty good job but unfortunately gets bitten. Lyric, not wanting Rowan tied to the baddie werewolves bites him herself. From this time on, they are inseparable, the chemistry is strong even without being bitten by Lyric. Story concludes with finding out why Lyric was almost kidnapped and the mating of Lyric and Rowan.

This was an enjoyable read, the story was fast paced, I loved all the secondary characters and the scenes between Lyric and Rowan was pretty steamy, have a cool glass of water near by!

I am very interested in Xan's story.

I wasn't actually sure how to rate this one because there were elements I really liked but I was left vaguely unsatisfied at the end. It's not just the instalove, that's something to be expected in the genre. I think part of it was that the author sprang things on the reader that were a bit too convenient with no real set up that made it make sense in the plot.
there were a lot of good things in the story and teases of intriguing characters, so I would recommend it with caveats to fans of the genre.
okay for Aayesha.
