A twisty, edge-of the seat thriller. I admit this was the first Lisa Jewell book I have picked up and read but it certainly won't be the last. It was full of surprises, I loved the unpredictable nature that even in the most wealthy of neighbourhoods things aren't always as they seem. If I were to have one critique, it would be the ending. It seemed far too good to be true, I was just waiting for a turn of events which never came. I'd love it if these characters were revisited, to leave it on a 'happy ever after' seems a shame, there's part two of the story in there somewhere.

Very dark.  This was not it for  me.   I had a hard time following along and keeping the characters straight.

This is rated 4 stars on a different scale than the other Lisa Jewell books I've written. But still, it feels apt.

3.5. The first part of the book was confusing. A few timelines and lots of characters, it felt u organized, but once the I got to the 2nd part it started to make more sense.
