Oh my, where to start? REVENANT is packed full of everything that I could want in a paranormal story. Lies, betrayal, the fall out from broken and previously revealed family ties, love, lust, and sex all tied into a wonderfully twisty plot with lots of action.

Revenant and Blaspheme make an explosively hot and complicated couple. Revenant is an unapologetic jerk. Cocky and self assured with all of his powers, Revenant doesn't bother with pleasantries and trivial things like tact and empathy. Justifiably angry at what he has endured and will have to continue to be in order to provide balance with Radiant. Oh, boy is it hard to review this without spoilers slipping free! Revenant has desired Blaspheme from the start and now he is going after her. He puts Blaspheme on notice and it is very hard for her to continue to resist him.

Blaspheme is a doctor in Underworld General Hospital. Because of what she is Blas just wants to be left alone, lay low, and stay off of everyone's radar. Especially Revenant's. That's a big negative Ghost Rider! Revenanat knows what he wants and he won't stop until he has her. Despite Revenant's persistence Blas continues to deny her own desires for as long as she can. When Rev and Blas come together it's explosive and all consuming for them both. It's always good to see the cocky bad boy fall.

Larissa Ione brought this series to an end with a bang and I am so glad that I was along for the ride!

So much happened in this book! So many reveals, and emotions! And I totally forgot how they resolved everything, and it was so great! Can't wait to read more!

*First read August 12th, 2015*
This book! Oh! The feels! Fantastic book, and I just really, really want to read more, even though I've basically caught up to what's been published thus far!

Revenant is easily my favorite hunky angelic hunk in the Lord of Deliverance series. He's gorgeous, badass, had a bitching sense of humor and is the kind of guy you can hang with in a dive bar on a Saturday night and have a blast getting drunk and kicking ass. He also has enough issues to fill the Marina Trench and his backstory will make you weep.

Blaspheme is a angel doctor at UG and she has her own set of issue and secrets. With a crazy momma, being hunted by angels and a quickly fading fallen angel disguise, she isn't sure who she can trust or how much longer she'll be alive.

These two came together in spectacular fashion and had me enthralled from the very first page. I loved their witty banter, Blas's take no crap attitude and Rev's constant cocky wise cracks. Their relationship formed even though neither wanted it or acknowledged it happening. The fought wanting each other as hard as they could until it was so obvious that it was inevitable. Even when everything seemed to be against them, they found the had each other to lean on. There were parts of Rev's story that had me teary eyed. That he survived everything that he did was a testament to his mom's love for him. It was so heartening to learn that all his and his mother's sacrifices were not in vain.

There is so much that I could write about how much I loved this book, but I can't. I'd be here forever. If you enjoyed any part of this series, you have to read this book. It ties up so many end and answers so many questions. I am hoping that there will be more books in the series, but if this is the last, I would be satisfied with the ending and would read the entire Demonica/Lords of Deliverance series all over again.

Most series' tend to start with a bang and then the stories become less fascinating, less enticing. Not the Demonica series. It was a great series from the beginning, but Reaver's and Revenant's stories are the two giant cherries on top of the Demonica cake. I assumed Revenant's story can't be as good as Rever's. I was horribly mistaken. 5 stars!

Revenant & Blaspheme

I love love love Revenant! I liked him from the first appearance in the series and I couldn't wait to read his story! I knew it will be a big twist about him and finding out he is Reaver's brother was just amazing! I was a little annoyed by the fact that every time Reaver did something bad he would get his memory wiped too, didn't really like it for Revenant since I like him more than Reaver.

I really loved everything about this book, the action, the characters, and each decision they made, I was glued to the book couldn't let it go until I finished it!

I didn't really enjoy the first books of the series but it was really worth it in the end, I am happy I didn't stop reading them.

Before I start my review, I'll just say, I stopped reading for quite a while because of studies. I honestly didn't read a single thing for like, a whole year.

This book is the first one I read after all those time.

And I have to say that I'm both glad and sad that I chose this one.

Why am I sad?

No, I'm not sad because the book isn't good or disappointing in any way. On the contrary, I love it! For me, it's perfect, just like any other Larissa Ione's books. What made me sad when I finished this book is the knowledge that this might be the last book for the series. I'm quite sure it's the last for the Lord of Deliverance one, but I'm hoping it's not for the Demonica series. I learned and loved these series two years ago, and I'm still in love with it. That's why the thought of never having a new story in this world for me to read again is quite... saddening.

Now, for why am I happy.

I'm really, really, really happy after reading this book because it's what I've expected it to be. I know a predictable book is not a good thing, but it's not the story I'm talking about. It's the emotions that this book made me feel.

I've always known that reading a Larissa Ione book is such a roller coaster ride for emotions. It always made me feel happy, loved, content, frustrated, sad and many more. And that's what this book did to me.

I laughed. I cried. I felt the love between the two characters. I felt the pain they suffered. I felt everything.

I don't know if I'm just being bias because - it should be particularly obvious by now - I really love Larissa Ione. But that's what this book really made me feel.

So yeah.

As usual, the plot twists are great. Not as explosive as the ones in Reaver's book, but still, it's still great.

And of course, the building of the characters here are so good that not a single character felt 2D. Sure, most of the characters here, like Eidolon, Reaver, Harverster, Thanatos, etc are already well-made because they each have their own books. But, the new ones here, like Deva, are also very effective - for me, at least.

So, overall, I really love the book. And I'm hoping it's not the last book for the series.
