I got this book as a gift 15 years ago, from some kind Texan people that, in an implicit way, was stressing out that I was prooobably going to hell. Not because I was doing anything bad, but because I wasn't a true believer in Christianity.
Sooo, this book was an attempt to fix that. A non-believing journalist that looked "hard" at the portrayed "facts", evidence and really "grilled" some experts if the story of Jesus was really true. Perfect to help convert a Norwegian.
From a sense of spirituality I feel I'm pretty open. But, when it comes to religions like Christianity with their "leaders" and set of rules I'm less open/more skeptical. In other words, I don't know if it's true or not. A verse from the Bible tell's it pretty plainly "If you do not believe I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins" (John 8:24) - which just leads me to think that "why you got to be so hardcore about it?"
This book is great for believers that want's reassurance or good points for possible future discussion. I feel it's less great if your curios about Christianity, but are not ready to read about dissections on the New Testament verses.
The hard thing about following discussion around verses in this book is 1) you should be pretty in the Bible already to keep up 2) everything can get interpreted for the discussion you're in.
Of course, the mission of the book was to create evidence. I wanted to read about the spirituality.
btw. sorry to the kind people who gave me this that I used 15 years to read it.

Incredible storytelling and one of the best books I’ve read in a while. It really makes you think and reflect. As a Christian this piece really helped me solidify some of the questions that I myself had surrounding the resurrection.
The book itself flows nicely and I found it very easy to follow. I would seriously recommend this to anyone, seeking or believing.

I read this book as a Christian already. That said I share some of Strobels characteristics as really appreciating proof and logic. This book did not disappoint and was as incredible as I’d always heard. Not always the easiest reading at times but so impactful. So glad I gave myself the gift of the time to read it.
This book was very well done. Strobel was able to explain everything clearly that even I, just having jaw surgery and totally out of it, was able to fully comprehend it. This book didn't touch on every argument against faith, but you can't expect it to. However, this book touched on a lot of subjects and gave plenty of evidence. I believe this book is great for strengthening Christian faith as well as serving as a stepping stone into Christianity. I highly recommend this.

This is a great book for one who has just started his journey in the Christian faith as well as one who has questions about the Christian walk.
Great book. I'm sick right now so I can't give much of a review but... Probably will give one later (and fix my review for the other book, Case For Creator...)
