Leo and Mary were gamer kids. They were friends through headsets/tv screens, but had never met in person. Even though they went to the same school. One day, Mary has the guts to introduce herself, but he ends not knowing who she is and this tears her apart. Years pass, and she ends up being his neighbor. She hates him. When her rental house ends up in shambles, he offers her a room in the football house. She has no other choice. She knows who he is, but he has no clue this is the girl he’s been longing for.
I was obsessed with Mary. I loved her vibe. She felt relatable. I loved that she was independent and driven. I love tattoo artist book characters. I loved how Leo was trying to figure out why she hated him lol. He was so sweet too. He looked out for Mary, and I absolutely loved how everything wrapped up for them!

you know the kind of books that you keep reading and reading and then you suddenly end up at the epilogue without even realizing it? well, this book was like that. It got me up until 5am!! Kandi must have put crack in this book because I was truly addicted to it. I raved about it to everyone who would hear even to my friends that don't really read.
I adore the plot. You get hit with the story from the beginning and I felt like the pace was so well done. The angst between Leo and Mary was so thick and so good, it got me giggling and screaming at them at the same time!! and when Leo finally finds out why she hates him?? Y'ALL THAT CHAPTER WAS AMAZING!!! just thinking about it makes me smile so freaking much!!
I loved the characters!! I got attached to them so quickly, they were very easy to connect with. There was such depth to them and you could see them grow and heal as a person which made me feel like a proud mama. The found family aspect of the series truly stood out in this book and it was heartbreaking to let them go at the epilogue. guys even Kyle was nice, what??
anywho, I am so glad I didn't read this series in order because that means I still have Blind Side left to read which I am really excited about!!

Mean FMC
The writing was great, the heat was good, but I just could not stand this FMC. It took so long for her to start being decent, that when they got to the HEA, I don’t even want to root for her. Sure she had issues, but she was just really mean for a really really long time. And it was hard to get past.

The book was generally okay (for what it was) but the scene that got me was when the main guy (unironically) said that his dick was so big that MULTIPLE girls walked out (just by seeing it) because it was sO iNtimiDaTinG and gargantuan. Bitch, shut the fuck up. That is the dumbest shit I've read in a while *cackles*
If you're gonna lean into the horsecock shtick , at least make the love interest an alien or a demon not a college football player.
