re-read: i love leo & mary with my whole heart <3
I have absolutely loved this series, and now we're at the end. The fourth and final book in the series was Mary and Leo's. A second-chance, forced proximity romance, that was sweet, emotional - and spicy of course.
Mary and Leo's connection formed as teenagers, as online gaming friends. Mary's attempt to introduce herself in person didn't go to plan, and she cut off all contact as a result. Now, as adults, Mary is a completely different person, and Leo has no clue she is the friend he'd lost suddenly all those years ago. When the truth comes out, he jumps at the chance to hold her tight and never let go.
I loved Leo and Mary together, and knowing all about their past just made their relationship now that much sweeter. They were meant to be together, it just took a big misunderstanding and time to get there.
This author's writing always gets you in the feels! The epilogue was the sweetest! An emotional chapter, but it tied up the entire series beautifully. I'm sad it's all over, but I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
* March 12th - Listened to the audiobook version, as well - Amazing job by the narrators! It was so fun to listen to Mary and Leo's story that way. You could hear the pain and heartache in their voices, as well as the humour and love. It was really well done, I enjoyed it immensely.

If you are a fan of Kandi Steiner or sports romance or both, I have 3 words for you Leo Fucking Hernandez.
This is another triumph of a book and ok, I admit it: I like sports romances. I'm a convert and it is all because of ya girl Kandi.
The angst and the spice were amazing. The ah ha moment when they realized what a misunderstanding that had taken place was so good. I literally laughed, cried and sweat over this book.

“Maybe I didn’t deserve you yet and the universe knew it. But then, when the timing was right… it delivered you right across the street.”
Mary crooked a smile. “Leo Hernandez, a believer in fate?”
“If fate is what brought you to me, I’m not only a believer — I’m a worshiper.”
4.5 stars.
LEO AND MARY.
I don't even know what to say or what words to use to express how much I loved these two; individually and together.. I just... I LOVE THEM
This entire series, man! After Becker brothers, I kinda had some trouble with most of Kandi Steiner's books, but this series made me fall in love with her writing all over again, if not more! I can't for the life of me pick a favorite couple (ClayGiana and LeoMary are fighting over than number one spot with HoldenJulep closely on their tails), THAT'S how good it was! I didn't dislike a single book, but I do feel like this one has a little bit of edge on the others, because it has more of the friendship between the girls than all three previous books combined, which added to the great romance made it a little bit of a no-brainer!
cant believe he was burdened with living with a monstercock so big, poor little leo
