This book was pretty good, I loved Leo, he is so sweet on Mary it’s not even funny. However I did not enjoy Mary’s character much.. I did at the start but then I found her to be just too dramatic. Still half decent tho
Cute
This was spicy and cute at the same time. I liked the relationship between the guys and the h. It almost had an rh feel for a second. The h was OK, but kinda a pick me girl at points. This book was a miscommunication trope. I'm not a huge fan of those when they are dragged out for long periods, but the banter between the characters was good.

Leo and Mary have a history as teens she’s determined at first to hold one mistake against him. A mistake results from Leo not knowing what Mary looked like after a summer of videos games. Six years later after a tough rough to win he trust Leo gets the change with stig (Mary) he’s wanted since that summer they were teens. Plot beyond this one must read to find out how their journey moves forward. Love slow burn, sports romance and school settings this book is for you. Kandi Steiner’s Hail Mary was exceptional written and I read it in just a few hours. I highly recommend Hail Mary bu Kandi Steiner that’s a compelling plot and an exceptional character narratives and stellar character development from beginning to end.

this will EASILY end up being one of my top ten books for 2023. i can’t remember the last time i loved a book this much. frankly, i don’t know what to do with myself rn. i’m not okay, not even a little bit. i love leo and mary with everything inside of my soul, and i knew from the very second i met them that i would.
this trope (? if you can call it that) of like It’s Always Been You, I’d Wait a Thousand Years for You, Second Chance-ish, We Were Almost There, Emotional Breakdown Inducing, Visceral Pain and Longing, all-encompassing love stories just grasp my heart and refuse to let go. i wish i could actually, explicitly define it. whatever it is, kandi steiner just wrote 400 beautiful pages of it. i don’t know how, but she hit the nail right on the head.
i’m going to miss this little friend group so much, but i’m ecstatic for her new hockey series. it really feels like she’s hit her stride within the sports romance niche and i’m excited to see how she approaches the much adored hockey romance.
this book will remain with me for a loooong, long time, and i already can’t wait to read it again. a million bajillion stars.
