You may know him from previous books in this series. Leo is definitely an attention grabbing entity. His ridiculous good looks, his charm, and face it- his ability to get all the attention! Leo is the clown, the charmer, and "the good time" guy. Or so we all thought! Hiding behind that facade is a sweet, helpful, and loving man worth every fantasy. It just took the one woman he could never have to show it!
A history hidden in hurt. A second chance. An absolute Hail Mary is what it took for this chico to find his corazon!
It fills me with a bittersweet happiness seeing the last of the crew finally get the girl. I don't want to leave them behind. I want to revel in the joy and their futures while also wallowing in their present. Sigh. I cried happy and sad tears. Mary and Leo deserve all your love. The crew deserves all the things. I guess I'll just need to adopt the pole therapy or do a reread!

Tell me why the MMC being an absolute jackass is supposed to be enticing? This man treats the FMC like crap, all because she isn't conventionally pretty, and literally looks the other way while his friends bully her in high school, but like he was heartbroken so let's be sympathetic to him too. Like he didn't mean for her to be bullied, and because he was too heartbroken to notice his friends are actually treating someone like shit. Sureeeee, okay, poor baby. Ugh I was so angry. That was arguably too much for me to overcome.
I couldn't get past that. Like I'm sorry but treating a girl like absolute shit, or standing by while your friends do in high school, it's exactly redeemable. And boy the way he tries to redeem it really didn't make up for all that shit.
Also I love a smutty book as much as the next reader but this book was smut instead of plot. Like it felt like smut was all that was needed instead of like character building or conversations, or you know anything that would make me believe in their love?? Anyway, this book sucked. Or I should say didn't work for me.

Mary was one of my favorite FMCs in this series. She was definitely a cool girl with her tattoo apprenticeship and love of gardening. Leo was lovable at some moments but at others he really annoyed me.
This book felt like a different variation of the rest of the series in the way that the book was structured. They don't like each other at first, then they get together, then the third act break up. It didn't feel dramatically different from the rest and that might be because I read these back to back.

This was my favorite story of the 4. Listened via Audible, and the narration was much clearer than the prior. The narrators were also excellent.
The online meet, gamer girl, high school rejection, college enemies to lovers, and roommates!! This was a very good book. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Mary to finally divulge why she hated Leo so much. I truly wanted him to recognize her at some point, like I was really hoping - but still progressed very well & ended alright.
