there are no words other than LEO HERNANDEZ JUST DID IT FOR ME FOR GOOD
funny hopeful lighthearted medium-paced

I was very excited about this one because of all it was promising us : reverse grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity but also because I quite liked what we saw of Mary in the previous book.
Well, it didn't quite deliver.
It really started well and I was enjoying my time at first but the more I was reading and more I found stuff that irked me.

-The miscommunication. While it's a trope I don't enjoy, some people might not be bothered by it but I NEED characters to talk to each other, tell each other what's on their mind because we don't have time to be stuck where we are for half the book!!
- The writing of Mary's character was very weird. The focus on her curves seemed a bit too much for me. I do think it's important to have plus size characters in romance books (and every other genres) and do love it but here the focus was all about her having the "good kind of curves". The focus on her ass had me rolling my eyes! How many times do I have to read about how she "lost her baby fat" and her skin cleared and her teeth got straight so now she's unrecognizable?
I liked her in the previous book because she seemed like a very strong, takes no shit character but as soon as she got with Leo, she lost all sense of confidence and started making self-degrading comments.
-The "big dick" comments........
-That third act conflict was unnecessary and I would've liked the book better if it ended a few chapters before it. I had the same issue with the first book in the series. It really feels like she added this third act conflict just for the sake of it.

However, it was not all bad !! I did really like the bonding moments between Mary and the guys at The Pit and finally seeing Kyle a different way (although, that was a drastic change). I liked that we didn't get as much football in this one too, and it was focused more on the relationship than the sport. And it must be said, the spicy scenes were spicy!

4.5/5⭐️ I absolutely devoured this book. I loved that this one was longer because I feel like I got to know the characters even more. This whole series had the perfect amount of football mixed in with romance and I absolutely loved it!

This one - comical! The banter was so good, I was cheesing and cracking up the whole time. I will say Leo not realizing who Mary was annoyed me sooo bad. Like I understand we all grow and probably look different from high school but you you look that different. I got fed up with that plot line.

Then like 50 % the book they figure that all out and finally break the tension so I’m like what’s going to happen the rest of the book. It was predictable to figure out and the result of the boss had me cracking up. It was a cute sports romance series.

I grew up playing video games, so I really liked the Xbox/video game references and inclusion in this book. There was angst I wasn't expecting, but I loved this book. I related a lot to Mary throughout the story, and I definitely will be re-reading this book several times.

This was a 5 until the 3rd act break up. I always know they are coming, but I always hold out hope that it won't. With that said, I loved this book. It made me laugh and cry. The friend group that grew in this series is top notch. Very sad it's over!

Why did I put off reading this book for this long?!?!!!?

A tattoo artist/gamer girl x jock/gamer boy YAYYYY!!! Leo FUCKING HERNANDEZ is one hell of a book boyfriend, he is definitely up there in my list. And Mary is the realest FMC, I loved her she is so cute.
