I enjoyed this one! Enemies to lovers was one of my fave tropes when I first got back into reading romance and I'm still a sucker for the banter. I saw this one coming from book one and it was interesting to see how it played out. Another one where both people had experienced loss but there was no big trauma in the story itself (the threat of something upsetting, yes). Looking forward to Brynn's book when it's released in June.

✨enemies to lovers
✨small town romance
✨sister's (kind of) ex
✨forced proximity
Rowan Whitlock and Charlotte Sullivan hate each other. On top of hating each other they're vying for the same contract for their farms. The last thing Charlotte needs is more stress, trying to save her family farm and the last thing she expected was Rowan Whitlock to come to her rescue.
Rowan and Charlotte gave me everything I could have wanted from an enemies to lovers. Their unrelenting banter was everything I needed.
I love the way Rowan gets turned upside down because of a girl when he swore to never let that happen to him. Charlotte being an independent woman who fights for what she wants and to save her family farm. And when Rowan finds her he doesn't want to let her go. His moments of helping her being knowing she needs to stay independent melts my heart.
This was such a good read I couldn’t put it down!

Tropes/content: Small town romance, enemies to lovers, sister's ex/ex-girlfriend's sister, neighbors, one bed (sleeping bag), forced proximity
Series: The Whitlock Family #3
⚠️Check triggers⚠️
When a contract with the largest school lunch distributor arises, Charlotte Sullivan leaps at the opportunity to win it for her family's farm. The only problem is she's not the only farm in the running for the contract. Her neighbor, and enemy, Rowan Whitlock, is also up for the contract. Ever since he broke her sister's heart, Charlotte has wanted nothing to do with him, but is forced to be around him on a trip with mutual friends. When the weather takes a turn, they're forced to shelter together until the storm is over and hate quickly turns to lust. Things were supposed to stay in the cabin once they left, but they can't stay away from one another.
This is hands down my favorite book in the series so far. I devoured this story and could not get enough of these two. Enemies to lovers meets great banter will always be a favorite of mine. I loved the tension between Charlotte and Rowan. It added to their banter and made for some explosive spicy scenes.
I really loved how they went from enemies/rivals to being in love. I loved that we got to watch how they fell for each other and how it made them each change for the better. I was SO happy to see Charlotte tell off her wretched sister. I hated her so much. Rowan melted my heart with the ways he kept showing up for Charlotte and kept doing things to make her life easier. To be loved is to be seen, and boy does Rowan Whitlock see Charlotte and love her deeply.
Thank you to Corinne and Valentine PR for the early copy!

Rowan and Charlotte are so good together. Ugh, I love a good enemies to lovers story, and theirs isn't any different. They way he shows her, he will never leave, swoon. I'm so excited and sad for the last Whitlock Family book.
