Charlotte and Rowan absolutely despise each other. Charlotte doesn’t like Rowan because he cheated on her sister and runs a competing farm. What happens when they get stuck in a cabin during an ice storm? The only correct answer is a lot of spice and falling in love obviously. Charlotte is terrified of her developing feelings for Rowan for many reasons. One is that he’s her sister’s ex but also because everyone she loves leaves her. Rowan constantly showing up for her is just perfect. The banter between Rowan and Charlotte and Rowan and his brothers is laugh out loud worthy. I absolutely loved my time with Rowan and Charlotte in Sugarloaf and I can’t wait to get back in the next book of the series.

Redemption for this series

I loved Asher and despised Grady(seriously, even in this installment, he made me want to catch him outside a couple of times), but I stuck around for Rowan. I'm glad I did because I love him. He's a little bit of a dong but not overly so, and his kindness is enough to override it. This one didn't feel grueling to read like Gradys installment did.

So yeah, Rowan is what I needed.

I have Bryn's book marked on my calendar for when it's available cause I hope hers will be good too.

I thought that Asher would easily be my favourite Whitlock, then along came Rowan!

You just knew that under all that hate between him and Charlotte the sexual chemistry would be off the charts. Corinne loves a hero with a dirty mouth and Rowan was no exception! Most of my highlights were Rowan’s filthy mouth! A personal favourite was ‘ have it, sweetheart. My C- ck is your throne.’ I really enjoyed the role reversal in Charlotte trying to deny her feelings for Rowan, where usually it’s the MMC in denial.

I really felt for charlotte as she was struggling with her farm and didn't have the support around her, it also didn't help that her sister was ludicrously self-centred especially when it came to Charlotte and Rowan’s relationship. Charlotte dealt with a lot whilst trying to keep the farm running and keep Rowan at arms length, I loved that Rowan tried to help with the maintenance and things Charlotte was struggling to get done on her own rather than trying to take over the farm itself.

Overall I think this may be my favourite Corrine book yet! But as unsurprisingly Liv stole the show with her brief cameos, putting her uncle in his place and trying to get him to be nice whilst sticking up for Charlotte and behaving in that all-knowing way kids do!

In Tempting Promises you can expect
- enemies to lovers
- forced proximity
- only one bed
- filthy talking MMC
- banter between the MC’s
- spice!!!

The Whitlock books just seem to get better and better!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was totally consumed by this breathtaking, emotional, and sizzling forbidden romance! I absolutely loved Rowan and Charlotte's rollercoaster romance that was full of heart, humor, and lots of sizzling heat! Charlotte is struggling to save her family farm. She has a great vision for it, but is overwhelmed. The one thing that could help save her farm has her competing with her neighbor, and nemesis, Rowan Whitlock. He is handsome, cocky and pushes all her buttons. But what really aggravates her is that every time she is in a bind, Rowan is there to help her, making her question all she thought she knew. When they are forced to be together in a small cabin during a storm, all their animosity explodes into fiery passion. When they return home and they have to face the real world, will they be able to overcome their past, or will the struggle to save their farms be too much? I loved Rowan and Charlotte together. With Rowan's swoony commanding presence, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support, and Charlotte's courage, warrior spirit, and unconditional love, they are just so perfect together! Their banter was their foreplay making their chemistry explode right off the page. I also loved the relationship Rowan had with his family who loved to meddle with each other but were unconditionally loyal, loving, and supportive. This is a beautifully written love story with deep heartfelt emotion, rich, honest characters and hot, sizzling love scenes. I absolutely loved every moment and wanted to read it all over again immediately!

I don’t know why this bothers me so much… but intact male cattle are called “bulls” not “steers”.

If Rowan bought a steer to increase the number of calves the next season, he got short changed (by two balls).

Do not let the cover fool you!

Rowan is … well … Rowan. Swoon. Loved this story but was initially put off by the cover of the book.

3⭐️- met my overall expectations for the book. Not amazing but not bad either. I did like Rowan and Charlotte and was happy with their HEA.

Book Three in the Whitlock Series was so good, I loved the banter between Charlotte and Rowan, which could only lead to some hot and steamy scenes between them when they were forced to stay in a cabin during an ice storm. Charlotte had a preconceived view of Rowan due to her sister telling her he had cheated on her, but as they spend time together, Charlotte learns that Rowan isn't the person she thinks he is. This book was so good, I loved the connection that developed between Charlotte and Rowan.
