Short and to the point, Angel successful argues the way in which ambiguity is crucial to sex and desire which is unfortunately at odds with the way in which consent culture and the associated "confidence feminism" talk about women's sexual desire in popular discourse.

Katherine Angel plädiert für mehr Mut zur Grauzone und zeigt dabei auf, dass auch der unerlässliche Ruf nach klarem Consent in einem patriarchalen System seine Schattenseiten hat.

Angel erarbeitet, welchen Balanceakt Frauen zwischen Engel (pun not intended) und Hure begehen müssen, wie tagtäglicher unfreiwilliger Selbstschutz sowie Machtinbalance uns von unserem Wissen über unsere wahre Lust trennen und warum wir mehr Raum sowie Sicherheit für Unwissenheit verdienen und brauchen.

Das Buch liest sich zuweilen repetitiv. Angel fasst mir bekannte und unbekannte Erkenntnisse aus Sexologie und Soziologie zusammen und hilft mir einen Schritt weiter, mich und meinen Körper besser verstehen zu können.
