I don't really want to give this a star rating (I'm generally opposed to that for non fiction unless I find it egregiously awful or astounding, either side of an extreme spectrum). And I'm rather neutral on this book. I feel I convinced myself I'd find this book more revelatory than it actually was for me, and it probably would have been if I had read it sooner, years ago, closer to its initial release. But now, it almost feels too simple or surface level, not a fault of the author necessarily but I do think there are deeper texts out there that discuss similar topics, though this wouldn't be an awful place to start for most.

I struggle deeply with focusing while reading essays, and this one was not exempted of that. However, it deals with a topic that is very close to my heart and tormenting me kind of everyday, so I am very happy I finally got through it !
This book is a bible of consensual sex in the less strict way. It is a perfect release of the anxiousness that can torment you, while being informative and covering every ground. It genuinely helped me. I know its not a self help book or anything, but intellectualizing so much of my feelings on the matter helped me understanding them. It was cathartic. I'm so grateful.

No but fr, great read and great questions were posed. I think it starts an important discussion on the vast nuances of sex and consent.
