There were some enjoyable moments in this book but I couldn’t get past the blatantly racist frictions of Black people.

I once saw a newspaper article that showed Asterix as the farmer fighting aganist the Roman Mikey D's.

Here Asterix is all for keeping the forest pristine until evil developers come along.

Asterix & Obelix är en stor del av min barndom, så jag är inte det minsta objektiv i hur mycket jag gillar de här serierna nu - men, när är jag egentligen det? Hur som helst en rolig serie men som naturligtvis åldrats en del!

Plenty of satire, but a few problematic jokes to balance it out. Weirdly, this sort of pales in comparison to the excellent film adaptation from a few years ago. In Flaturtha, though, we have one of the best (and most relevant) character names of the entire series.
