This is the second book in the Mickey Bolitar series, which is intended for young adults. It is a good side-by-side series to his Myron Bolitar books so I'm hooked. It was an engaging crime/mystery novel where Mickey, Ema and Spoon, three likable kids who just don't really fit in, find themselves trying to figure out who shot their friend and murdered her mother. I was a quick, easy read.

I'm really enjoying this series and just frustrated that I'll have to wait a while for the next installment. Great characterizations and wonderful plot twists. Mickey is a very engaging presence and the moral dilemmas he struggles with are pretty intense.

Love Harlan, and I know this is a YA , but too many mini cliff hangers annoy me.
