It was fun for expanding Sanderson's larger universe, but it felt more like a book full of easter eggs and maybe set-up for future cosmere work rather than a strong standalone story, unlike Tress or Yumi. Pacing was also a bit off. Still, it was a fun action-packed book that I found hard to put down.

This book was good. One of my friends was surprised it made sense outside of another series that it’s apparently connected to but I thought it worked well as a standalone. The characterization was nice, the villain was believable, and it made sense as a story both in terms of the flawed characters, the magic systems, limitations, etc. it was a nice read.

I enjoyed this book so much! I really loved reading about Nomad's character development, and I hope we can hear more about him in the future. (Also, all the references to Bridge 4 and the stormlight archive hit hard after Wind & Truth
