This one drags. Like really drags on and on and on. There were several moments when I wanted to put it down and just move on. The main characters do not really have much going for them, either, to the point where they feel almost like cardboard cutouts. And don't even get me started on Jo. This was definitely not my cup of tea, to be sure.

I didn't mind that the romance took a backseat to the ghost story in this book. What I did mind was that the romance and the ghost story took second place to Chris's weird drama with his work partner/occasional lover/sorta-friend Jo. She came across as a bully, and I didn't understand how they had maintained a functional relationship for 20 years, let alone how he angsted over the dissolution of that relationship. Bonus points to the book for actually using the word bisexual though! If you can get past the unnecessary drama, the ghost story is very well done.
