This is a ACOTAR X TOG crossover fanfic.
I was annoyed by the direct lift off of so many scenes and characters and their dynamics from the two series.
At least be honest with the readers to not piss them off by such blatant lie on your SM

Moderate: Sexual content, Slavery, Trafficking, Murder
I just didn’t like the vibe. I tried to keep going, but the author was trying too hard to keep the character mysterious, nothing was revealed, tired of reading about the character feeling sorry for herself. I just found myself not connecting and ultimately not wanting to read this book very early on. Maybe one day I’ll go back to try it again, but I just found myself I invested too early on to want to try to push through.

Omg this book was actually so good. It kept me so intrigued and entertained until the last page. The twists at the end I never saw coming and made me ready to read the second book immediately. I do feel like we skipped over the one guy saying he was just using her too quickly but oh well the plot must go on. Last third of the book had my jaw dropped with twist after twist!!

Finished this book in under 24 hours. It has one of the most interesting plots I have read, and it is not full of cookie-cutter romantasy tropes. The depth of the characters is similar to TOG, Crowns of Nyaxia, and One Dark Window. Really excited to continue this series

Half-Fae Elessia has the power to compel anyone to what she asks just my making eye contact. Blood sworn to the Fae King after a terrible accident, she is ripped from the life that she has built and is forced into infiltrating the human's elections to investigate the current regent. If she does, she could find herself free from her oath. What she finds is that things are not what they seem the deeper she goes.
Spies, the Fae, enemies to lovers, and political intrigue. All the things a girl like me could ask for. I adored my grumpy cinnamon roll Merrick. The beginning was a little rough for me to get into but when the action started to pick up, I was hooked. I thought the concepts behind all the tests that the want to be regents had to go through was really interesting. That they had to know what it was like before they were allowed to elect regents to rule them.
Also...that ending...UGH.
