An incredible introduction and first instalment to the series.
In regards to the other media the story can be found in: the LN is, so far, better than the manga, but the anime is still better than both.

What a splendid, splendid series. The characters feel so unique and vibrant, and the narration doesn't shy away from portraying darker and more sorrowful facets of life, all while weaving a plot that gets uncovered little by little.
