I came to read this series after watching the anime, and finding myself too impatient to wait for episodes. And I'm so thrilled I did! The anime is super close to the LN and in that sense, I knew what was coming. But I thoroughly enjoyed the author's style and the way in which the story was narrated. Also, I appreciate how you get to see this world through different characters eyes'. Over the years, I've begun loving secondary characters deeply for what they bring to a story, and honestly, Gaoshun has my heart. 

It's been a while since I've loved a book like this, and I'm absolutely jumping straight into the second.
