Maomao is a very witty character and she has her funny moments
I really love her interactions with Jinshi like there's one scene where she comments Jinshi nymph like smile lol
Overall i recommend reading this book if you have or haven't watch the anime

Maybe I'm just not a light novel person -- this felt like a novelization of the manga/anime rather than the other way around, without much of the depth of description/character perspective that I typically expect from novels as opposed to other media. Still enjoyed the story, and there were a couple of new things I learned that weren't explicitly clear in the manga/anime, so I'll probably keep reading the light novels just to get even further ahead in an interesting story. But I probably won't purchase them and instead will borrow from the library future volumes, haha.
