I did not want the characters together. Alex is toxic AF and I would have gotten myself a restraining order since chap. 5.

Even if I would not be able to since ✨ corruption ✨.

I liked the spice and the mental health representation, that's it.
I will try the sequel to see if the author is going to be a "no-buy author" for me.

Loved this book. Everything about it made you never want to put it down. The duplicity of the characters, the consistent referencing to mythologies, the trauma tropes and we can never forget THAT SMUT! It is incredibly well written and consistently keeps the readers engaged. I LOVE IT, can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Overall, I really liked this book. There were some things that I found predictable, but also some things that I was completely shocked by. I do think that there were too many epilogues, most of the time even having one is not needed, but this book had like 2 or 3.

I didn't quite know what to expect out of this book, but for my first read in 2024, I am impressed!
