Not me picking this up randomly and then loving it and being shocked at how much I enjoyed it?

Wow.

Becca is desperate to find her brother. After she can't get a hold of Charlie, she gets word that she is to meet Nick Rixley at his tattoo shop and nothing more. Nick is not having it at all. After their father screwed him and his team over, Nick wants nothing to do with their family but as he watches Becca's retreating form... regret sinks in. Things escalate almost immediately and now Becca is under constant supervision at the Rixley home while Nick tries to figure out what the hell is going on. Cops are dirty and nothing seems to be easy to figure out, but Nick has a plan. What he did not plan for is how much Becca affects him and what he shouldn't do about it. Becca's right there with him but the stress of losing yet another family member is not something she can be distracted from.

Becca was badass. This girl is going through it and she is barely letting herself slow down. Her family has always been important to her and after losing her dad and her brother Scott, Charlie is all she has left. She's got nothing but dust in the wind to follow when it comes to Charlie's disappearance and still, she is determined as ever to find him with what little info she has. Nick was great. I felt like the two of them worked really well together and the amount of respect they had for the other really showed in their interactions. I did feel like they moved STUPID fast, so it was kinda insta-lovey, if I'm being honest, but other than that very enjoyable. I love a little suspenseful romance and this had all the right ingredients. It was also a little spicy and we love a spicy read.

I'm very excited to see how the team's romances go! I saw Shane is next which I'm more than ready for.

I wasn't too sure about this when I purchased it, but I did enjoy it. I liked the hero. I liked the heroine as well, although she seemed just a little too perfect. There wasn't really a time when she didn't do or say the right thing to make all the guys love or respect the hell out of her. Anyway, it was not just sex. There were plenty of other things happening around the love story and I will probably pick up the next in the series when it's available.

3 1/2 stars. Good mystery, romance not so great. Kind of long and detail heavy, but liked the characters.

Ahh who doesn't love a steamy story about an alpha-military man?

Nick does not disappoint. And Becca does not either.

The both are caring and people I would surely want on my side.

The quest to find Charlie, Becca's brother brings together a group of brothers in arms that have been derailed by accusations of a mission gone bad.

It's a great start to what will be an ongoing quest to find the truth.

I read this series many years ago but wanted to listen to the audiobook. I enjoyed the audio version just as much as reading it. I love that this author has such strong female characters.

I liked the book but, I did not love it.

I liked the story of the book but it was lacking the romance that I needed. I like the insta-love thing but this book just dragged even that out. I would have liked to see more behind the door and sheets events between the sexy Nick and beautiful Becca.

I was looking forward to some back scratching, sheet throwing sex, but it was more of a mystery searching for clues to the missing brother. I liked that part of the book but I was so expecting more.

I will be reading book 2 in the series when it is released just won't be jumping to purchase it as soon as it comes out.
