I love Beth O’Leary! Her books are so easy but still have a lot of substance. I warmed to all of the characters- particularly Jane. Loved the twist and would like to reread in the future with it in mind. Just really brilliant story that is never what it seems and provides so much development for everyone involved. Lovely ending. Need to read her latest

I enjoyed this loads, I got on board with all the characters and was along for the ride. It tackled some pretty heavy subjects, I thought with care, but remainded a fun read overall. Exactly what I needed.

The audiobook was really well done, and I was glad of the constant reminder of which point of view we were in.

I really enjoyed this. The different plot lines were a little confusing to keep up with at first, but as more info was revealed, I understood it. I think I’d have to read it again with hindsight and I’d be able to analyze every action Carter/Joseph made. I liked that it All connected at the end. I liked that there a couple types of trauma were incorporated. Took it from a silly romance to a deeper one.

"The No-Show" promised a lot of intrigue and mystery from the get-go, especially when right from the start the main character stands up three different women on Valentine's Day, for respectively breakfast, lunch and dinner dates. Yet there's hope of redemption for Joseph Carter, who seems like a cheater at first but alas "there is more than meets the eye". There's a lot of red herrings in this book that purposely makes you perceive the story in a certain way, and has you draw up conclusions on your own. When the final twist came about, it wasn't really shocking, I felt like you could see it a mile away. The love story wasn't that romantic (I just really don't like reading that much about all the male character's amorous relationships, the big love of his life, finding his second love etc. when he was such an unlikable character to begin with), and I felt disconnected from all the characters. It's still nicely written, just not really for me!

El libro me ha tenido enganchadísima y me ha gustado mucho, pero me sobraba un poco la parte dramón del final. Y fíjate que shippeaba a Shiv y Carter muy fuerte, pero me habría gustado que su separación fuese por algo menos novelesco.
