Loved this. I miss Nat. I love Bucky and Clint and their dumb idiot dynamics.

it was fun! I’d picked this up forever ago bc of the clint / bucky team-up, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to

This was awesome. The dialogue was absolutely impeccable and honestly I think comics Clint is one of my favorite Marvel characters all the way around. That entire scene with ponytail Buck and purple puffer vest Clint made me die.

"What's the holdup?"
"Are you serious? You don't read the newspaper?"
"Not since Calvin & Hobbes ended."

"The Soviet Assassin Program gave each of us a unique symbol. A calling card. Something we could leave at the scene of the kill to make sure we got credit for our work."
"Cool history lesson, grandpa."

"What are you like this?"
"Charming?"
"The brooding tough-guy schtick. Why are you the way you are?"
"I was trained to be a killer and sent off to do battle with evil itself. I was blown up, frozen, brainwashed, and forced to kill for all my enemies while almost everyone I cared about grew old, forgot me, and died. That probably has something to do with it."
"Why are you?"
"Mostly for attention."

"Obviously the spy games aren't completely out of your system here, Skids. And I bet you know a whole buncha folks still larping it up as superspies."

"I get why you always make this stuff so clandestine. It's fun as hell."
It is.
"Shut up."

"Please stop."
"And she's got long red hair?"
"I will pay you $10,000 to stop."

"I hate working with other people. Barton is good. Very good. But he's so annoying. He could be one of the best. But instead he was the leader of the Malibu Beach Avengers or whatever."

"What's happening?!"
"I just lost my gun."
"Are you serious right now?"
"Don't I look serious?"
"You always look the same."
"Someone stole it."
"Well, it's New York, man. That's gonna happen."

"And have the "Windy Solider" hunting me? No thanks."

"I could get used to having a sidekick."
"You think I'm your sidekick?"
"I mean...you're the world's second most famous sidekick. So, yeah."
"Second?"
"Well, yeah. Robin."
"Who the $#@& is Robin?"

"You know that thing you're doing, it's not a real thing. It's just what crazy people do in movies."
"I'm trying to decode the ledger I found in Cady's fireplace."
"Then make a spreadsheet or something, you're giving me the creeps.
"You don't know what a spreadsheet is, do you?"
"Of course not, I'm a super hero. Do you?"

"You're a skinny lil dude without your scary-ass robot arm. You probably own't get stuck. And you're, ya know...naturally greasy."

This was such a fun mini series. Bucky and Clint are the ultimate duo that I wish we had more of. The humor and snark are perfectly on point. That being said, I wasn’t overly fond of how Nat’s arch was handled and the artwork felt a little lazy at parts. Definitely worth the read though.

Clint and Bucky are idiots. Love that for them.

This was almost a five star review, but Nat’s face looks like a bad photoshop job when she first shows up. It should feel like a heroic moment and it doesn’t because she looks like she’s been layered with four snapchat filters.

Suprisinly, this was my favorite Winter Soldier comic I've read this month & it's a buddy duo with Hawkeye. I've never read anything about the comic version of Hawkeye so I didn't know what to expect but I loved it! Comic Hawkeye is wayyy better in my opinion & I love his dynamic with Bucky. His personality reminds me of a cocky but smoothy character kind of like Johnny Torch. Both Bucky & Clint's personality's fit so well. And the fact that they are both Black Widow's exes -- iconic lol.
