Reviewing so many fantastic manga volumes has really skewed my average rating. But it also means my reading this year has been enjoyable. 

Reading about the second challenge after watching the anime has a different impact. It's still thrilling, but visually it's better in the anime. 
I am getting very excited to read on past the events of the anime, and reading these is making me more excited for season 2, and makes me want to do another rewatch of the anime.

This has some of the most compelling action of the series so far and manages to expand the worldbuilding and characterization in compelling ways. I am starting to feel more connected to these characters now that we are getting to spend more small moments with them and see how they engage with each other, though I suspect once we leave the trials behind it may go back to having the same pacing issues it did before. Overall, a solid volume of the series.
