I wouldn’t have been able to finish this book without Rosamund Pike, an Oscar worthy voice narrator. There is no accent, age, sex, creature, or song she cannot masterfully voice.

There’s an entertaining story here, extremely Tolkien influenced for sure, but entertaining nonetheless. Unfortunately, that story is bogged down by heavy narration and a traveling party that keeps traveling through town after town. The ending finally got some exciting action but it wasn’t enough to make me want to find out what happens in the next 13 books (yikes).

The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills . . . and one odinary day at a small bookstore in pinetop I was taken in by the patern and put in to an epic world. This is the book that started me into serious fantasy fanaticism. I love it. A new world is unfolded and a power is revealed which keeps me coming back because I am a part of it now. I love the depth and the phrasology. The character build up is great and list of characters always growing. The plot is exciting.
