Sports romances are always a fun read and this serial story definitely has kept me intrigued. Meet Cade Prescott, quarterback who just screwed up his chance at winning the Superbowl. He goes in to hiding, and meets Andie Wale, librarian, who knows nothing of football, and the adventure begins. I am really enjoying their interaction, the history of their lives and meeting Andie's parents. Rachelle Ayala does a very good job of introducing Andie's dad to us, recovering from a stroke and the difficulties he is facing. When you have real life situations that occur in the storyline, it definitely makes it much more interesting to me. While the relationship of Cade and Andie progresses, the real stars of the story come out..the dogs. Red and Gollie are so cute and fun! Their relationship will bring a smile to your face each time they get together. Just be aware, this is a story in parts, so the first does end on a cliffhanger, so make sure you have book 2 ready to go!

Narrated by Chris Abell, he performs this story so well, you get lost for the hours that he is reading. I love the way he can bring the story to life with his voices, easily discerning each character and making you able to picture each as they speak. Wonderful start to this series!

Cade Prescott has just made the biggest mistake of his football career - throwing an interception in the Super Bowl and causing his team to lose the game. Needing an escape from the press, he heads to Itasca to take some time to recharge.

Andie Wales is a librarian and an expert on King David. When Cade walks in on Andie in a somewhat compromising situation Andie is horrified, but not as horrified as when she sees Cade's dog Red mounting her dog Gollie.

As Andie and Cade begin to get to know each other, they both develop strong feelings for each other but it is only after a serious event that they really realize how much they mean to each other. But when the truth about Cade's past comes out it may be too late.

This book is the first in a series and does end with a cliffhanger!!

Wowza! Grab a cold drink and turn on a fan. Rachelle Ayala is bringing the heat!

When Cade's career turns Super Bowl disastrous, he hides out in a college town with his dog, Red. Use to having anonymous sex with many women, he isn't certain about relationships. Andie is the librarian, devoted to her parents and her dog, Gollie. She gets her romance from hot dreams of King David. Would a bad boys searing touch be able to compete with fantasies of a bad boy King? When their dogs meet and mate, Cade and Andie are tossed into each other's paths. Will they be able to move forward from their pasts to be mated, too? Only the dogs know.

This is a story that will bring tears to your eyes, giggles to your mouth and heat to other parts. Football Widows, cuddle up near your honey and those amazing snacks on a chilly, fall football afternoon . Forget the blanket. You won't need it. Warning: If you are listening to the audio version, it is sure to grab your honey's attention. Headphones may be necessary.

I was entertained by Chris Abell's performance. He contributed a lot to the fun of this audiobook with his voice. I really enjoyed the variety in pitch as well as his interpretation of character voices. I loved his enthusiasm.

This story contains sexual references and is intended for a mature audience.
It is a part of a series that does need to be read in order. This book ends with a major cliffhanger.
