Talia Hibbert did it again!
With Act Your Age, Eve Brown she had me squealing, kicking and giggling over the story of Eve and Jacob.

I‘m glad now that I didn’t dnf the book just because Jacob Wayne was very similar to my ex boss at the beginning. But as I continued it turned out that Jacob has a soul and is a very lovable person.

I could also really relate to Eve. It was like looking into a mirror and after her story she ended up being my favourite Brown sister.

I can’t wait to read more from Talia Hibbert.

I didn't like this one as much as the first two Brown Sisters books, but I really love Talia Hibbert's writing. It fell a little flat in terms of development and predicability

It definitely lives up to the hype. Im tryna find out where I can get me a man like Jacob, especially given his particular skillset...and the tools at his disposal. Definitely less focus on the romantic, the lust was more heavy handed and I kind of wish they had both falled a little bit harder before proceeding with illicit engagements. It was a bit of insta-love....I mean it was enemies-to-lovers, which is fun and my favorite. After they stop hating each other, though, it's like they fall in love immediately. In just two to three weeks of knowing each other. I know that love and hate are separated by a thin line and by virtue of hating each other initially, they are much closer to falling in love than they would readily admit.
I loved the neurodivergent rep.
I only wish they hadnt also placed Eve on the autism spectrum because I kind of liked the idea that a neurotypical person could understand, love, and appreciate a neurodivergent person. So like, I liked the idea of Eve being neurotypical and loving everything about Jacob (not in spite of his autism, but including his autism). It made it feel to me like they could only fall in love with each other because only they understand each other? I know thats not the point.
The idea is that you are who you are, no matter your labels, and you can either accept yourself or live your life seeking validation from people who arent even willing to understand you. I also love how autism isnt a plot point, it's not a driving force. It's relevant, and it comes up, and it's discussed, but it's not a point of conflict. I love when diversity and inclusion in literature isnt used as a point of conflict. It just is. They just are as they are and it will have moments of relevance, and then it will not.
Explicit sexual content that I thoroughly enjoyed. A little too heavy handed on the lust and too insta-love. It also feels like not a lot happens in the book. Nonetheless, Jacob and Eve make a lovely couple and I will be on the lookout for my own Jacob 🤪✌🏻 Also, being completely, I didn't like Eve for most of the book -- primarily due to her unwillingness to take responsibility for her actions and choices. It is part of her insecurity, but its also a pet peeve of mine.

This book made me laugh out loud so many times xD
It’s such a worthy end to the Brown sisters‘ trilogy! Probs my favourite of the 3.
I kinda wish there was another sister (or brother!), and hence another book, because I’ve really grown to love these characters :) They are all so relatable! I feel like I am a mix of Dani and Eve with some Chloe moments sprinkled on top. Can‘t wait to see what Talia Hibbert comes up next.
