5 Funny As Hell Stars!!!! #BestHashtagEverInANovel

I loved everything about this wild and wacky ride. Full review to come.

Stars: 4 stars

This book has all the ingredients of a hot mess, but I loved reading about Verity and Hudson.
I may or may not want a Killer too.
Verity is so relatable in the sense that she can be super awkward and still sexy, but also very normal.
Hudson is mysterious and hot, and I want to see him and Verity grow more than they already have. They grow both as characters and as a couple in this story.
With this being written by 13 different (wonderful) authors, it was a little hard to follow at times, but I slowly got used to it. Hudson didn't make sense for a long while, he seemed way too good to be true, and add in his truths and I was saying "Who IS this guy? Is he genuinely this good!?"
Overall, I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone who already has read at least one of the involved authors. It's definitely something you have to read yourself to believe.

So, this book reads like it was written in 2016, metaphorically speaking. I had to go back and verify. Now that I've done that, it puts so many things into perspective for me.

Can I be honest? I didn't like this book. I initially rated it 3 stars after finishing it but now that I'm writing this review, I've decided to knock it back down to a 2 star rating. This book feels so ambitious yet empty. It seemed like there were a lot of things the authors wanted to accomplish and yet, they accomplished none of that. This book actually made me discover a new trope that I despise that I wasn't even aware of until now - the copious amounts of social media postings used as ways to enhance the plot. I didn't know that wasn't something I hated until I read it here. Granted, I don't think most authors even use it that much nowadays in 2024, so that's a good thing. However, there were so many times where I thought I was finally getting swept away by the story and then I'm smacked in the face by Verity's God awful tweets narrating her life. Also, Verity, as a character, sucked ass! I did not like her.

I didn't dislike her in the sense that we're supposed to dislike her because the author was just so damned good at their job that they succeeded in making us hate her. No, I hated her when I'm almost certain that we're not supposed to. Also, her entire behavior and thought process reminds me why I stray away from reading books that center around lead characters who fit in the young adult category. This is NOT a young adult book because of the subject content but the characters will constantly remind you that they're in their early 20s by their impulsive, rash, and asinine decision making.

Verity is dim-witted and very very young. She acts her age. That's all I'll say about that. The plot was uninteresting and bland. You could tell the smut was the marketing point and everything else was supposed to center around that. The plot outside of the main couple could have been interesting but the execution was not there. I try to stay away from turning people away from the books but I'm not going to do that this time. Don't waste your time reading this one. I am not exaggerating. You will be disappointed and underwhelmed.

Re-read. One of my favorite romantic comedies ever #poundhudson #couchyoga #howfardoesthattattoogo

I love the concept of this book with the 13 authors writing one story. This book was super funny and completely unique. Hudson and Verity are both a little quirky and their banter had me smiling from the beginning.
maybe my favorite scene is when she and her friend are drunk together. i laughed out loud so many times.
as always the very talented Rose Dioro gave a stellar performance.

It was ok.....

I felt the characters where a bit immature...and obviously characters not too deep. alot of voices so this many authors have both pros and cons

I don't have much to say about this quirky, light and funny read. I was skeptical about 13 different author tying their writing styles together, but honestly it was pretty good. The narrative had a good flow, and the insanity of some of the situations Verity and her friends go through, kept me giggling throughout. Hudson and his tattoos weren't too hard to handle either. They picked one of my favorite cities as a back drop, so following along with the characters to the the places along their journey was enjoyable. Overall, I think I would pick up another compilations like this from this group of writers. It gave me a taste of some authors I have yet to read.

My rating 3.5 out of 5 stars...

I was so excited about this when I heard about it. The caliber of authors with this story is AMAZING! It is greatness. At first I didn't realize it was one story, until I really read about it. I think this was one of the best ideas ever! I laughed so hard at this story. It was so fun and still flowed great and had a great storyline and I enjoyed every minute of it!
