I loved this series! It was maddening heartbreakingly beautiful. This story captured Nicks heart, and Averys love to heal him. ❤️

TW: rape, suicide, sexual assault, sexual abuse

Potential Spoiler:

I have to say I would have liked this book a lot more if he had accepted the "no". It's just something I unfortunately can't get passed and the worst part is that it was kind of just brushed of as an "oh it doesn't matter, I'm not afraid of you". Good for you, but it was still sexual assault / rape. I would have preferred that situation would have been handled with necessary measures and not brushed off like nothing happened. If it weren't for this situation the book would have been my favorite in this series, but now? Unfortunately not.

GENRE: Contemporary
THEME: Romance, Mature
RECEIVED: Tour
REVIEW:

I’m originally a huge fan of Lara Adrian’s paranormal series Midnight Breed, it’s one of my top 5 must read series and I re-read it every chance I get. So in the end I was excited about a contemporary and story that really focused on romance more. However I made a little error by reading in the wrong order so I had a lot of backtracking to catch up after finished book 3 first. I actually didn’t find it hard to understand what was going on, but I needed to know why it all happened, so please read it from the beginning, and yes there are cliffhangers (of course not in the 3rd book).

Anyways For 100 Reasons, it picks up right after the 2nd, Nick and Avery are not in a good place, everything seems to be falling apart for Avery and Nick running through an airport and getting detained is not helping them figure anything out. Thus we jump to the future a little and these two have to find their way back together, even with Avery’s career finally getting off to the right start.

Avery is stronger now, she is a fearless woman who is trying to forget Nick and all the betrayal. But with some failed short live relationships, he is hard to forget, especially when he shows up out of the blue to an event she speaking at. Even with her success she cant forget him and still loves the guy, Now the two have a lot of work to do to fix what is severely broken. But wheat’s more of a challenge is Dominic himself, his past haunts him and Avery is determined to get through to him to tackle what has been giving him nightmares.

Overall this is a tough series in the way that it pulls out all the emotional heartstrings, I was a mess through the third, especially when it comes to Nick. What’s great about this last installment is reading from both POV’s I loved getting in Nick’s head, he’s so complex and so much emotion is going on with him, it really pulled everything together nicely. This is a heavy hitter series, with a great HEA and worth all the ups and downs that the characters take you through.

~*~ I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review ~*~

I've been waiting for this book, as if it were my next breath! I can't even begin to express my excitement to finally get my hands on this epic conclusion to the trials and tribulations of Dominic and Avery's relationship.

When Lara told me Dominic was getting his POV in this book I was over the moon. I've wanted to know what goes on in this mans head for the past 2 books! And Lara did not let us down in anyway. Dominic is a troubled soul, understandably. When you read his story you cannot help but feel his pain.

Avery, as a character never let anything defeat her. When everything seemed to go against her, she persevered. When Dominic needed her she became his rock when he had to face his past.

It's a bit of a coincidence that whilst reading this, I was listening to Linkin Parks soundtrack and some of the lyrics just resonated Dominic's past and his hope for a future with Avery.
For example
"Bring me home in a blinding dream,
Through the secrets that I have seen
Wash the sorrow from off my skin
And show me how to be whole again"

I want to say so much about this book, but I fear of giving away too much of it's awesomeness. I cannot recommend enough this series.

The 100 Series is Lara's first dip into the erotic romance genre and she has done a fabulous job! She had me intrigued, excited, pissed off, hurt, heart broken! You name it, you'll feel it.

Round of applause to one of the BEST writers of this generation!

The conclusion to the 100 series, 100 Reasons, is a very quick read. It takes place 1 year after the ending of 100 Nights. I agree with some of the other reviewers that Avery's reaction in Paris seemed a little over the top. Especially, considering how much Nick supported her through all her lies. But, i guess if she made it easy, there would not have been a need for a 3rd book.
We finally learn all the secrets that Nick has been hiding, even though this big one seemed to have come out of nowhere. Not to mention, all these characters seem to like to take the law into their own hands. But, at the end of the day there was a HEA, and that's what it's ultimately all about.
