This book really teaches to be better to one another. You don't know what someone is going through.

This book is the first in a very very long time that I have finished in a day and has left me with a soul deep feeling of peace and a brain full of thoughts. Two things that by definition cannot go together.

I don’t know how it took me so long to read this as a life long John Green fan but I deeply regret that I had not read this particular collection of words sooner. John did what he has always done well - balanced impeccable descriptions of teenage awkwardness with soul destroying grief. Perfection.

this was such a good read!! my first john green book!! i never got into the fault in our stars LOL. i loved alaska and how complicated she was, and loved that we didn’t really get a proper conclusion on
how she died, if it was an accident or suicide
. i think the main characters going on this journey to figure it out then ultimately deciding it’s okay to live with uncertainty is really inspiring, as someone who is terrible at living with uncertainty. john green’s writing was also very stream-of-consciousness to me which i loved because that made this such a quick read for me; i finished in less than 24 hours!! all this to say i unfortunately did not get that knock-knock joke until the q&a section at the end……….oops
