A reread before teaching the novel this year. It's such a resonant work that it's no surprise it's had such a huge cultural impact. This time through there were a few minor irritations that I felt about some contrived aspects of the plot and the characterisation, but it remains a masterpiece.

foi um post do tumblr que me fez ter interesse em frankenstein. “marry shelley writing about a monster rejected and abandoned by its creator and dedicating it to her own father”

eu não sabia que essa era a história original dele, eh bem diferente do monstro que a gente conhece apresentado com pele verde e parafuso na testa e apesar do victor ser uma grande mula e ter me irritado 90% do tempo com a burrice dele, todo resto do livro eh MUITO aproveitável. eu amo a escrita antiga (mesmo q meio difícil de ler) e juntando os valores que a mary shelley apresentou com ela, ficou lindíssimo… muito nobre

esse livro eh mais uma lição do que uma ficção de fato. não eh de se surpreender já que os pais da mary eram ambos militantes e ela deve ter sido ensinada e aprendido muita coisa pra conseguir trazer algo grandioso assim com só 19 aninhos!! aborda moral, responsabilidade, afeto, abandono, ganância, ciência…. aiaiaiai coisa mais linda do mundo com ctz vai entrar pros meus favoritos

vim esperando uma histórinha de halloween e sai com um ensinamento enorme!!! uma aula de vida praticamente… que menina inteligente ela foi. beijo pra mary shelley essa querida
