I did a speed run of the audiobook, but dan steven’s was really fun to listen to and he brought the characters to life!

I am absolutely stricken by this book. It is now certainly my favorite classic and one of my all time favorite novels. It was 4 stars to me until the creature’s final monologue. What a notion! A creature created to be abhorred and the animosity that develops from that-I mean come on! Mary Shelley is mother, call me her creature.

A fascinating dive into many philosophical questions done so with an eloquent use of prose. An enjoyable book that is a ‘must read’ for anyone interested in classics. 3.5/5 stars

The writing was beautiful, but a bit too dense for my taste. It was a bit hard for me to find the motivation to read it for that reason. I hated Victor,
and I wish his creation got to have a happy ending but oh well.
. I can see why this is such an important classic, it’s just not my favorite I guess:
