Racist, homophobic, right-wing propaganda kind of bullshit. Full of homophobic and ableist slurs. The art is hideous. Every man looks exactly the same and are impossible to tell apart. Extremely disgusting ideas about and depictions of rape. There is a lesbian superhero who is dead before the book even begins, so we just speedran the bury your gays trope. Jon's a whole pedophile, getting with Laurie when she's 16 and he's almost 40. There's a scene where Jon, Laurie, and Adrian discuss the miracle of EUGENICS. Literally fuck this book.
Not a single likeable character. Maybe the boy reading a comic book who literally had no point being in the story at all?

Waste of time! And again, it's SO LONG. I've heard so many great things about this series, so I really wanted to give it a chance and I kept waiting for some big thing to happen and turn everything around but this is just the most mediocre white man sludge of a book I have ever happened upon. Yuck.
And I really can't emphasize enough how there was almost no story here. I swear nothing happened at all in this book until the last ten pages. Even if you like all the edgy BS, I wouldn't recommend this book because it is so unfathomably long and BORING. NO interesting plots, NO interesting stories, NO great art. This book is nothing.
