Undecover Op Turns Hunger Games

When what should be a routine undercover Op turns into a battle of life and death, Daniela Vega returns to her military roots and does everything it takes to survive. Isabella Maldonado brings together detective drama, thriller type emotions, and knowledge of cyber crime in a gripping tale of survival and family bonds.

I liked the premise, and it was kind of fun working through puzzles while reading. They felt pretty easy though, but maybe that’s because I’m in the comfort of my own home and not facing imminent death. The narration was easy to read, but I would’ve liked more show and less tell. Some transitions between scenes lost me briefly. Some scenes and characters were described in more detail than others, so my visualization of the people and scenes felt incomplete. Overall, enjoyed the read but might not read the rest of the series.
