I'm not ok with revenge porn

Good but long.

I liked the story line, lots of fire, and did not see the twist coming. However it took forever for me to finish.

This was a wild ride. There's a stalker, a family curse, two nearly fatal shootings, disguises, revenge, Tragic Backstory, threesomes, a swamp, blackmail, a secret playroom, tragic misunderstandings, and main characters who I guess were sculpted by the gods themselves. All in the course of about a week. If only my life could be that interesting.

Creo que fue uno de los primeros libros que leí sobre el tema del BDSM y desde entonces, el Amo Jack sigue teniendo un lugar especial en mi corazón.

I found this book on so many lists of top BDSM romance books that for the sake of the blog, I decided to bite the bullet and spend the $12.99 for the e-book, a ridiculous price for the first in a series. At least get your readers hooked before raping them out of their money! Or stand up to your publishers like one of my favorite authors, Jeaniene Frost did, and fight to lower e-book prices. The paperback was $5.99. Really? The e-book is more than double? In what world does this make sense? This makes me love my indie authors even more. OK, rant over. Because I found this on so many lists, and because I spent more than $10, I expected this to be awesome. It was just good. 3.5 stars for story, 5 stars for heat. ( I would have rounded my stars up if not for the price).

Jack is a Dom and bodyguard Morgan is interviewing for her cable show about sex. Jack actually has ulterior motives for meeting her--to get her into bed to get back at who he thinks is her fiance, for sleeping with his ex. Morgan has a stalker who takes a shot at her while she meets with Jack. Jack immediately feels protective and takes her back to his cabin in the swamp to "protect" her. While there, he gets her over all of her emotional baggage and hangups that she had about sex, and makes her a perfect submissive.

This book took me a few days to read. That is rare to me. If I really love a book, I can't put it down. I just didn't have that intense connection I get to other books, like any of Cherise Sinclair's or Kristen Ashley's books. Morgan kept whining to herself about how she knew she wanted to submit but she didn't want to be a freak. It got a little old. I kind of wanted to kick her and tell her to live it up with a real Dom while she can. Jack also didn't handle her concerns very well, and was kind of a prick at times. Deke, Jack's partner and best friend joins them in a scene that was knock-your-socks-off HOT. I like Deke a lot, but read that he turns into a dick in the next book, so I think I'll hold off on spending my $12.99.

Things I liked:
-Hot sexy Dom
-Lots of well-written, long, detailed D/s sex scenes
-super hot menage scene
-Deke
-A little suspense with a surprise

Things I didn't like:
-e-book price
-lack of connection to the characters
-Jack's vendetta--it almost seemed unnecessary, but it was a huge part of the story. I would have liked it better without that part.
-Morgan's self-whining
-It could have had a little more backstory, or just story in general.

If you have no issues spending $12.99 for an e-book, and you like BDSM romance, I recommend this book. I still enjoyed it a lot, but for two-three times the money, I expect it to be 2-3 times as good!

This was a bit intense, but still good. I would have liked to have more of the plot with the stalker, but with this kind of book that is to be expected. I wanted more when Andrew showed up at the end. It seemed to happen to quick. I also think I would have been more pissed at Jack when I found out he not only used me, but then sent an email of us having sex to my supposed fiance who is really my brother. Not sure if I could have forgiven so quickly. I read the summaries of the other books in this series and noticed a bit of a theme with the menage

Three days. I'm a slow ready so if I read a book in three days until the earliest hours of the morning, it means that I not only loved the book, but I feel in love with the characters, the story and the overall feel of the book. Suspense, drama and a lot of sex is what I loved most about this book! I will say, that while I did appreciate Morgan's independence, she did reach a certain level of annoyance when she refused to admit that she could be submissive. At one point, I think I even called out, "Oh come on gurl, just give in and live already!" But - Jack was persistent and I loved how to acknowledged her apprehension, but at the same time keep the possibility in the forefront of her mind. And the grandfather - how cute was his to make his grandson recognize that Morgan was the girl in his dreams!

Overall - this was a great story and the plot twist in the end was pretty epic! Like - I know the psycho stalker was coming, but for him to come at the same time as Brandon and finding Morgan in bed with Jack AND Deke! And that scene threesome scene tho - I had to put the book down and get a cold glass of water after I read that! Great book and I cannot wait to read about the other characters in the upcoming novels! Deke - by far is my fave!

Fun book with some mystery and love thrown in. First time I’ve read something by this author and I was pleasantly surprised by her writing style. Not for the faint of heart though
