this memoir was so eye opening and informative about the life of a refugee. sandra does a beautiful job conveying her life story and she has truly changed how i will view refugee and immigrant treatment in the US and abroad

Another biography. This one is Sandra Uwiringiyimana telling her story of surviving a massacre as a child and eventually moving to the United States and her discovery of her own voice as well as the struggles of minorities and the importance of finding healing. This is a very good, emotional read.
