After reading the first book, I feared this book would not be able to live up to its intensity. Fortunately, my fears were completely unmerited. Rowling manages to once again enchant and utterly shock in this installment. She also steps up her game slightly in this book by inputting more gut-wrenching, tear-your-heart out moments. And just as in the last book, her ending is just marvelous.
