When I signed up to read an early reviewer copy, I was so excited, I could not wait for it to arrive. The premise of the book was interesting but the characters and the story itself did not add up to the synopsis. I do feel that the author had a wonderful idea for this book, but for me, it fell short. When Caroline's friend Annabelle starts making suggestions of getting back at their promiscuous husbands, Caroline is a bit reluctant in the beginning but soon changes her mind as she goes through her husbands personal iPad. It sounds like such an awesome storyline, and I really wanted to love this summer read, but the characters were just so so in my opinion. I received a free copy from LibaryThing and the publisher, the opinions' are my own. Thank you to LibraryThing, William Morrow and Holly Petersen for giving me the opportunity to read and review It's Hot in the Hamptons, sorry it took so long to get my review up.

I’ve never been so annoyed with a book about rich people and their affairs. It’s sad, I’m sad. The Hampton’s don’t deserve this type of nonsense

It wasn't the worst book ever. But the ending was just awful awful. Like the author has a deadline and got rid of fifty pages of really important exposition and then kept a crazy ending that didn't match with the story going on in like 85% of the book prior.

The premise of this book was a little strange and I felt, especially towards the end, that too much was thrown in to the plot. However, overall the book was entertaining and an enjoyable read.

Wasn’t a feel good book. Felt bad that the husband and wives cheated on each other.

*** I received an advanced e-copy from LibraryThing in exchange for my honest review

Annabelle and her friend Caroline are both sick of their husbands cheating on them and getting away with it. Annabelle suggests a pact.... they will each take a lover this summer to get even. They both discover that cheating on their spouses is not all it is cracked up to be. Meanwhile, Caroline's husband is involved in some shady deals, and Caroline is missing the simpler life she had before her husband became wealthy and they moved to Manhattan.

I was interested to see how this story would play out. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the book as much as I thought I might. The characters just seemed flat and unlikable, and there were so many detailed descriptions of every luxury item mentioned that it made you forget what the story was even supposed to be about. I thought this would be a good beach read, but I really can't recommend it.

This book was my most anticipated summer, by the pool, chick lit read. I thought it would be lavish, snobby and reminiscent of most books about the rich in relation to New York. This book did nothing for me and I stopped reading it at page 100 ish. I tried picking it up three times and I’m pulling at my hair but sorry this book sucks.

The story has way too many characters for me to follow along with and the storylines make no sense. I feel like I’m blurring the lines between each plot for the characters. Maybe one day I’ll finish it but as of now it’s going to sit on my shelf 1/3 read.

Entertaining enough for a beach read but not something I would pick up under any other circumstances.

I picked this up as a fun beach read--so it's not like I was expecting War & Peace--but my God, this book was AWFUL!!! So flat, characters so cliched and unrealistic --but worse than that, they were BORING. Save your money.
