This is a strong family drama with a thrilling ending. The characters are hard to like but that goes with the story. My one gripe is that because there are multiple POV's it was a little hard to get into.

I gave this book a solid 4.5 stars. The character development throughout was very detailed. I enjoyed the POV from all the different characters. That in itself had a big part of the increasing the star values. The chapters were mostly short, a few longer ones. The writing was easy. The twist was definitely one I wasn’t expecting but enjoyed. It wasn’t a super jaw dropping twist however. The book had funny moments, sad moments, intense moments.

I really like how this book was told. The timeline in it self was very intriguing and kept you wanting to know more. I also loved the writing as well. It was descriptive but not to much. The endings of these books always seem to get me. Either i already know what’s going to happen or it takes me away from the story. Was this the most mind blowing and shocking book? No. Did I enjoy it enough to keep reading?Yes.

This is one that you will benefit from going in totally blind so you can just let yourself sink into the story. But should be on readers lists for this winter/spring, as it is one that will totally satisfy. All together, the sisters can each point to a man in their lives they’d like to get rid of. When they bury Gran, someone else will be buried with her. The author’s approach in bringing in Stephanie’s perspective works incredibly well. The book starts in the present and then shifts to the past to provide valuable context. Along the way, the characters evolve as their stories are developed. Gran’s past and the missing person could have been left out. any character who has an affair, that’s a personal thing. I’m not going to like that character but sometimes regardless of the circumstances i will change my view of them.
