I would give this book a 3.5 stars.

This books is part of a standalone series, which I really enjoy, I love all of the authors who are working on the Bluewater Billionaires, but for some reason all of their books are falling a little short for me personally. Currently my favorite of the series is [b:The Mogul and the Muscle|48408007|The Mogul and the Muscle (Bluewater Billionaires)|Claire Kingsley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1570739029l/48408007._SY75_.jpg|70900644], I didn't write a review for that book (I am just getting in to reviewing books on Goodreads, this is my second review so far).

The story follows Luna de Rosa and Beck Mason, both are having struggles with how the world/social media is perceiving them, as well as trying to find themselves and relying on each other in the process. They are having the battle of trying not to care what the haters say, but finding it hard since it is lining up with how they feel about themselves. I think that that part of the story is relatable since we are living in a world where social media and outside pressures are really taking hold of our opinions of ourselves. I think that Kathryn Nolan did a good job with Luna's character showing how the hate can just be thrown around on social media, due to them not having to show their faces to the person they are actually hurting.

The beginning 75% to me were strong, the main characters did get a little repetitive with their internal dialogue, but it was something I could look past since I really enjoy Kathryn Nolan's writing. But I will say that the conflict that they had wasn't one that I would have liked to see. It was a little predictable and safe in my opinion. I don't want to spoil what happens but this is what I wished would have happened.
SpoilerWhen Beck saw his mother before Luna was just about to give the speech during the last minute fundraiser/charity event, I though something more intense would go down. Like I don't know maybe the MC would have kidnapped Beck or tried to take Luna. I feel for being such a violent MC that everyone feared they didn't do many violent things in the book, just what Beck talked about in the past. It could just be me, but when I see MC romance or MC in the synopsis, I would expect a little more fist flying or something a little out there, anyone else feel me on that? But I get that Beck is reformed from learning he is better than violence to get his parents attention. Which I totally agree, he is better than that, but the last book the main character was
Spoilerkidnapped, by mobsters
sooo I am just sayin if a little kidnapping or a nice car chase would have happened I wouldn't have been mad about it.

Also last thing, when I read the last little line of the book, it was cute, but I felt like it abruptly ended. I kept flipping the page back and forth, saying to myself, "this is the end?!". I think that is what ultimately bumped it down from a 4 to a 3.5ish. I felt like it could have continued a little bit more,
Spoilerlike the caption was cute, I though he would have proposed or had a little something more, which seems to be the theme of what I am feeling about this book. Like he could have had the caption and at the bottom said, turn around, or the picture could have been him with a ring, and bam shock and awe factor, but we just get the caption, and THE END.

I will read the last book of the series for sure, I want to see how Daisy turns out, I haven't read anything from Pippa Grant, but hopefully this book will turn me on to her books!

PS.
Spoilerbeing the dummy that I am, it took me 3 books to figure out that the romance authors that they stalk at their Drag Queen Brunches are the authors writing these books. *face palm* it took them saying taco shirt for me to understand that was Lucy Score, then it all clicked for me.

This book had promising beginning I love grumpy with sunshine trope but that was just at beginning.
I didn't liked pacing Beck and Luna get together fast there is no angst and I really didn't care about them.
This book is a disappointment to me.

I liked this story, and it was well written.
However, my I had a huge issue with the lack of emotional depth/growth that Beck has, given that he’s a 40 year old man. The whole time, I kept thinking “why is this gorgeous thirtysomething woman into this man-child? Then i kept having to remind myself that he’s supposed to be 40.
Other than that, I LOVE the idea of the program that was developed and portrayed in this book. Excellent, interesting concept that made me quite happy.

This book is 100% 5 stars for me! Beck and Luna... sweet grumpy Beck and freakin' badass Luna. I adored this book!! If you've read Landslide by Kathryn - they totally gave me Gabe and Josie vibes! Beck came from a crap family which has made him the standoffish and grumpy guy he is. Luna has had to live up to her Mother's expectations while building a company she truly believes in. You know what they say - when the going gets tough, the tough (in this case, Luna) gets going. Kathryn writes some of the best slow burn books... and slow burn is not typically my jam. But the chemistry Luna and Beck have is off the charts and left me wanting and waiting. Waiting for the perfect time. And Kathryn did not disappoint. I would recommend this book every single day and twice on Sundays!!

We meet the 3rd Billionaire from Bluewater in Kathryn Nolan’s book. Luna da Rosa enters into a scandal that the vegan/animal lover needs to figure out how to get of. We find out that the manufacturer that she signed off on tests the products on animals. Luna has to fix her image FAST. Her team decides that she needs to work and donate to a non-profit company to help her image.

Enter Beck Mason, former prince to a MC empire which he left. He now runs a non-profit animal rehabilitation center for abused dogs. He wants nothing of the limelight that comes with a billionaire he believes that is using his non-profit for her own benefit.

When they say opposites attract. They are not kidding with these two! Luna, or rainbow billionaire vegan, as Beck likes to call her and the tatted up meat eating former prince to an MC empire are as opposite as you can get. Luna realises that she moved away from what her core beliefs were when she started Wild Hearts cosmetic company. She let the money start to control what she did with her life. As she immersed herself in helping Beck, she goes back to her true self.

The chemistry is HOT between these two! Kathryn blows me away with the characters that she created. I didn’t want the story to end! I can’t wait for book 4 so I can meet these two again!

Alchemy can be defined as a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.

Luna da Rosa is a self made billionaire trying to find her balance in the wake of a business scandal that rocks her values. In rediscovering herself and her path she meets dog rescue founder, Beck Mason. Beck is a bad boy gone good who doesn’t trust that Luna’s heart or values are in the right place. This book is all about second chances in life. Second chances for the pets rescued, second chances in careers, with reputations, in life, and with love. Beck and Luna’s chemistry is fan yourself hot! Their love story is both sweet and oh so steamy. You’ll enjoy seeing how a vegan eating, kombucha drinking hippie at heart regains her balance and finds love with a meat eating, Heineken drinking ex-biker grumpy animal rescuer. Beck will make you crave a motorcycle ride with a bearded grumpy man whose wild open heart is ready to be claimed. Luna will make you crave fierce lady friendships to lift you up and support you in good times and bad. Together Luna and Beck will make you crave a love and lust that is pure alchemy.
