Ms StVil has built another great fantasy world! I loved the world that she created starting with the guardian series and this is no different. The detail used in this story was not lacking. I was in it from the beginning, however, the book was full of type-o’s that kept pulling me from the story. When I previously went from book to book with her previous series’s, I’m hesitant here.

I really enjoyed this book. This was one of those novels that you read when you're all snuggled up in your bed and you have a cup of hot chocolate right beside you. It's one of those novels that you fantasize about- a dream. I felt like Lola St. Vil seemed to have dreamt the same dream as me, only she decided to record each detail down with beautiful words. She threaded her vision into an exciting tale. She invited me into a new world and a new dimension. It was an amazing experience: to be able to enter a new life through words.

"Kissed By Shadows" has given me the possibility of living a thousand lives. This book is evidence of my visit to their world. The bookmarked pages contain footprints of dried up tears that were wept for each character's soul. For joy and for pain. I’ve lived and felt love, depression, anger, and hurt. I’ve lived and experienced death, power, insanity, and hope. I’ve lived and seen war, peace, angels, and demons. I’ve lived a thousand lives behind the eyes of a thousand people. With each turn of the page, I am further entrapped in their world. Though I know the world created with just a piece of paper and pen does not exist in this world, I will never stop believing that angels do exist. Demons too. :)

Its a 3, but good enough to venture onto book 2!

This story had some really interesting aspects and some inconsistencies, it has enough to pull the reader in, but some eye rolling makes me think really?

The story consists of what appears to be a human Girl Atlas Become a seeker and on a mission to save the world!

Along the way she meets the A team who are bound to help her, and Kane who is destined to destroy her......

What i loved!

The plot itself is really interesting, Its reminds me a little of a girly version of Percy Jackson with smut, and different Myths, the whole quest part and gang of helpful friends. I also loved the chemistry between the two main characters.

Loves Atlas's nickname!

What i disliked or did not understand......

The insta love, Im all for insta love if its written in the stars or characters are instantly attracted to each other and cant keep their hands off. These two are reluctantly thrown together seem to dislike each other, the next minute they don't, there seems to be no turning point for this profession of love, when they are finally together its as hot as a Vindaloo curry, but how they got there? Beats me.....

I could not get my head around Kane professing love but still in the first half of the book meaning to kill Atlas to save some lady he used to play cards with.

And the definitions of evil, Child molesters and rapists don't turn, yet a bruised psychologically damaged and broken child does???? Im not condoning murder, but killing an ex junkie who sold you to be beaten and raped for a fix is worse than child trafficking and rape??
