Although Caitlyn has never really been my favorite in the Jenner/Kardashian clan, I decided to give this audiobook a chance. After listening to this audiobook, I’m left with a feeling that she is weak and passive with victim mentality. I find her even more annoying than I did before. This book didn’t to go as in depth as it could have in many ways. Oh well, I gave it a chance and now it’s time to move on.

It was interesting to read about someone transitioning as I haven’t read something from this perspective before. However, the rest of the book I found quite boring, particularly the sport descriptions and the switching between different time periods irritated me. Also, I still can’t believe she can talk sympathetically about trans issues and the problems so many poor people, often from from ethnic minorities, face and not join up the dots to this and the politics she supports.

I got way more into this book than I expected to. There’s still a lot that she just doesn’t get but she spills A LOT of tea in this book and I was here for it.

Do you know yourself as well as Caitlyn Jenner does? This honest and candid story, full of Jenner's voice and Bissinger's strong writing, covers the landmark successes and failures, both personally and professionally, that define Jenner's life. Bruce is here, and so is Caitlyn. Those who have followed the media frenzy and I AM CAIT show will appreciate the expanded context of those recent moments. Those new to this tale can follow the arc of Jenner's journey and understand--or at least appreciate--the candor it takes to acknowledge how internal personal pain can destroy a family. Read this, and then talk about it--as candidly as Jenner does--with everyone you know.

I listened to the audio book and was amazed how uninteresting this book was. Buzz Bizzinger got a free check for this poorly written book.

This was an interesting and informative read. The humor was fun and sometimes silly; seemingly written in the author's authentic voice. I feel compassion and understanding for the struggles and suffering brought to light, which in my opinion makes this book a success. Furthermore, this book inspires me to read more about the trans world & experiences, hoping to become more open and supportive.

Please don't read and rate this book if you are a bigot unless you are willing to have compassion and empathy. Books are supposed to ameliorate ignorance.
