Blah. Boring and uninteresting. Theres nothing wrong here, I just didn't connect to anyone or anything and was entirely unexciting by their relationship or sex

Just finished binge reading the series and I loved it. Definitely going to read the novellas and then move on to other work by this author. Great world building, character development, and storytelling.
This one has several spots that get you right in the feels with both MCs and secondary characters. We’ve got small town, found family, brother’s best friend/best friend’s little brother, hurt/comfort, abusive childhood, illness scare, financial distress, grumpy/sunshine, age gap as tropes. All are worked into the storyline well. These MCs are the last of the group to find their HEA. I’m sad to be leaving them behind though I feel like a couple of these book will become co fort re-reads for me down the road. It has been a great binge weekend though.

How dare you punch me in the feels so hard, man? The audacity, seriously.
I have loved this series immensely so far, each book hitting the right notes for me. Great characters, wonderful stories, swoony romances, low on the angst scale, found family,... But this one hit me just a little harder than the others did and it was entirely unexpected. Yes, I've been looking forward to getting Marnin's story but it was so much more than I thought it'd be.
First of all, I really love this group of characters, okay? Forestville won me over big time and if I could, I'd move there so they could be my friends. There's also a cameo for the MC's of Nora's Foster Brothers series, which was fun! Granted, I only know them by name only, but it made me pick up the series so I can read it asap, so there's that.
But let's talk about the MC's, okay? Ennie is such a beautiful soul. He's such a sweetheart, such a perfect sunshine for Marnin and I loved him immensely. BUT. Marnin stole my heart, y'all. Right from the prologue, he owned me. He had me all up in my feels the whole way through and he made me CRY, DANGIT. I don't cry easily with books, yet here I was, blubbering like a baby. Their journey is so beautiful and I loved every second of it.
Comforting the Grump is another great addition to an already wonderful series and I hope this isn't the last we've seen of these characters! Highly recommended.

COMFORTING THE GRUMP is the fifth book in the Forestville Silver Foxes and this time, it's Marnin's turn - the self-proclaimed bachelor forever.
He has a high sex drive and makes no apologies for that. He does not want a relationship in any way, shape, or form unless it's friendship with his guys, but even there, he keeps them at arm's length some of the time. Ennio is Auden's younger brother in his thirties who seems a lot younger. Now, he is supposed to be bubbly and flamboyant, but he also came across as incredibly naive and I have no idea how he managed to reach that age without having some financial acumen, even if it's just keeping an eye on his accounts!
I did enjoy this story but it didn't grip me as some of the other books in this series have. I did like how Ennio was there for Marnin during his scare and could completely understand Marnin's anger that came out later towards another character.
This was a good read and addition to the series. For me, it just didn't connect in the way I wanted it to and felt a little rushed. If you enjoy Ms. Phoenix's books, then I'm sure you will enjoy this one too.

This was a great grumpy/sunshine book. Marnin was so grumpy and disillusioned. That is until Ennio showed him how much different life could be. Ennio was the sunshine he needed. The love declaration in this book made me actually cry. It was the sweetest thing ever.
