A favourite story from my childhood, revisiting it for the spooky season

Much preferred the movie.
Ichabod is a bit of a twat in this original short story and it wasn't the atmospheric ghost story I was hoping for. Flop of an ending as well.

I really like Tim Burton's movie and I don't say this very often, but in this case I can assure you that the movie is much better than the book.

A nice taste of autumn. This tale has less to do with the headless horseman (or sppoks) and more with the overall cultural and natural landscape of the Hudson River Valley near the tail end of the 18th century.
